Why Do Some Christians Celebrate Halloween?

I never liked this holiday. A day of death and nothing is holy about this day whatsoever. Nothing comes out good. Everything is dark and cold at this time. Full of darkness in every corner.

As a Christian, I never celebrated it when I was little, so I never knew why people like it so much. Sure the costume parties are fun but you can have them anytime. Why pick a day of darkness and deceit? I don’t understand why even some Christians celebrate it. I even hear some pastor’s celebrate it as well.

If you are a Christian and you are reading this, and if you celebrate it, why do you?

Kids are into costumes, candy and other events on this night but why do you have to pick this day, "Halloween: October the 31^st ".

People do not know the background of Halloween, or if they do they don’t take it seriously. Halloween is the most celebrated year due to the candy and costumes each year. Yet, this so called fun event only glorifies evil, Satan. It doesn’t glorify the Lord Jesus who is the truth and Jesus is the only truth. No Ouija Boards or witchcraft will make you happy. If you take a look at Tara's testimony below; you will see that.
I noticed more and more as years go by the many costumes that are on the shelves are gorier and more provocative looking. Kids want to look like a ‘sexy ladybug’, or 'a sexy nurse' and for some reason think that looking ‘sexy’ is the new in thing.

Some of this may shock you but hopefully it will make you wake up and know that behind each symbolic activity you do on Halloween is all of darkness...nothing GOOD happens!

Trick OR Treat: To obtain these horrible practices the Druids will go house to house asking for calves, oxen or human beings as sacrifices. Those who gave were promised prosperity, and those who refused will have a hard life and curses and threatened.
Evil doesn't give you peace; only JESUS can give you true peace.

Jack-o-lantern: A candle-lit stick in a pumpkin or skull. It was to mark where they got their calves, black sheep, and even humans, but it also means in the World Book Encyclopedia 'Damned soul'. The treat was the sacrifices.

Dance of death: As their objects that whatever they were going to sacrifice will scream, they danced in animal skins and heads. They would dance around a bonfire, to scare the evil spirits.

If we watch things and play with ouija boards and anything that is magical, wizards, witchcraft, vampires, all that belongs to the darkness. God says clearly in the Word;
"When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, your lives will produce these evil results: sexual immorality, impure thoughts, eagerness for lustful pleasure, idolatry, participation in demonic activities, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger...Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God." -Galatians 5:19-21

If you confess your sins with your mouth to Jesus and ask for His forgiveness, he will forgive you.

“Whatever you eat or drink or whatever you do, you must do all for the glory of God.” -1 Corinthians 10:31”

Some churches usually have these events on October 31st and believe nothing is wrong with them. Taking candy, wearing costumes, bobbing for apples, etc. What is a Halloween celebration doing in a church? It sounds exactly like what kids who don’t know Jesus will do at a regular Halloween party.

Instead of doing these events on Halloween night, Christians should . . .
-PRAY!
-Worship God
-Give tracts

“And how do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul in the process? Is anything worth more than your soul?” Matthew 16:26
You have to know of which side you are going to pick.

You can do any thing else than partying; Worship the Lord instead. I want to tell you something, satan hates you with a passion. You were made by God, not satan.
“So God created people in His own image;

You don’t see any where that satan is the creator who created you, do you? No. It was God the Creator. Satan was a fallen angel who wanted to take God’s throne, but was thrown out of Heaven as a result of his rebellion along with other fallen angels who followed him. God is more powerful and so is His word, the Holy Bible.

“For the word of God is full of living power. It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting deep into our innermost thoughts and desires. It exposes us for what we really are.” – Hebrews 4:12

As this holiday happens every year on October 31^st, everyone gets nervous and even get scared but like it says in the Holy Bible, it says, “Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies and tricks of the Devil. For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms.”
–Ephesians 6:11-12

This means you don’t need to be afraid if you have Jesus Christ as your Savior. He will protect you, but as for those who are into wickedness; the only true way is Jesus Christ. He died for you, for the sins you committed, and wants you to be with him forever in paradise.

God and satan do not mix, God is light and satan is darkness (“The night is almost gone; the day of salvation will soon be here. So don’t live in darkness. Get rid of your evil deeds. Shed them like dirty clothes. Clothe yourselves with the armor of right living, as those who live in the light.” -Romans 13:12). If you play with darkness, giving satan an inch of your life, satan takes a mile. God is a gentleman; He only comes into your heart if you ask Him.

"Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can goodness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and the Devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever? And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said: “I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people. Therefore, come out from them, and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord. Don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you…”
